Half Day of Service at Jordan River Galena Soo’nkahni Preserve.  My students spend a day in the fall and a day in spring working to restore the riparian ecosystem along the Jordan River.  We remove noxious weeds and plant native plants.

We are having a productive, informative, and meaningful week full of great discussion with motivated teachers here at the 2018 West Coast APPLES workshop at UC Davis. On June 26th Team Gingko built an ITEX chamber (International Tundra Experiment) to explore the effects of temperature changes on flora. We reached received a time-lapse camera and conducted an experimental trial using just ice! I look forward to sharing these experiences and technology with my students in Chicago.
