    This post is really more of a test, but I have been hanging on to this image since March 2020 thinking that it might be of use someday. Perhaps it will be of use for this year’s research project related to phenology, I’m not sure yet. A couple of years ago my class connected with a research team in the Weddell Sea after reading a book about Ernest Shackleton. I have always found students to be fascinated with Antarctica and the Arctic, in general, especially when it comes to the animals that live there.

    That’s a great photo! You inspired me to Google Neumayer Station, Ekstrom Ice Shelf, and the Weddell Sea. Very interesting- love the time-lapse webcam at https://www.awi.de/en/expedition/stations/neumayer-station-iii.html
    I think my students will like this resource.
